"Notice I said ‘create’ and not ‘find’" - Love this line. Reminds us that we have access to choice since passiveness increases our sense of defeat (though choice is obviously complicated by life circumstances)
Choice is always, always complicated by life circumstances. I know this VERY intimately LOL. It's hard to create that joy with all the isms of living but super important!
Yes this is a good one! I've been doing embroidery for a couple months now, and it really is a great way to have a bit of joy. I'm always really happy with my progress and how my pieces end up turning out!
Love these advices, it is so important to make small, everyday actions matter so that our lives are not completely shitty. I've been implementing those and it truly makes a difference.
I love these nuggets of advice, and I love the synchronicity of the way they dovetail with what I wrote about today. :) Thank you for highlighting that we need to MAKE joy, not just find it. And in a world on fire, making joy is a powerful act of reclamation and defiance. Now, I'm off to declutter something.
I was totally nodding along with the first two. Then I came to #3 and did a double-take. Like... wait... you can DO that??? 🤯 And now one corner of my desk is slightly less disastrous, and I feel a little lighter. Magic!
Declutterring a surface has been coming in clutch for me daily which is amazing because the depressed depressed days had me sitting in a messy home. deserving a clean home >>>>>>>

You got my at chairdrobe 🙂↕️
mine could use a little decluttering 😅
A good list! I’d add - make something with your hands. Anything. Just make something in an age where we consume and take in so much.

I hope your decluttering goes well! 🤣

Omg can't believe you immediately decluttered your desk after this! Go you!!!!
Just one corner of my desk. But I call it progress!

YAAAAASSSSSSS!!! You can't clean up all the mess all in one go, but you can always tackle it piece by piece. It still makes a difference!
That's so great! What did you make??
I wish I could love gardening. I love being able to cook with the fruits of the garden, and I love watching my partner garden though
